Nataša Ilić: Neue Gastprofessorin an der Kunstakademie Münster ab Oktober
Nataša Ilić bildet zusammen mit Ivet Ćurlin und Sabina Sabolović die künstlerische Leitung der Skulptur Projekte 2027 in Münster. 1999 war Ilić Gründungsmitglied des internationalen, in Berlin und Zagreb ansässigen, Kuratorinnenkollektivs „What, How & for Whom“ (WHW), dem ebenfalls Ivet Ćurlin und Sabina Sabolović angehören.
WHW organisiert Produktions-, Ausstellungs- und Publikationsprojekte. Die drei Fragen Was? Wie? Und Für wen? – grundlegend für jede wirtschaftliche Organisation – betreffen die Planung, Konzeption und Realisierung von Ausstellungen, sowie die Produktion und den Vertrieb von Kunstwerken und die Position von Künstler*innen auf dem Arbeitsmarkt. Von 2003 bis 2023 leitete das WHW-Kollektiv das Programm der Galerie Nova, einer städtischen Galerie in Zagreb. Im Jahr 2018 startete WHW ein neues internationales Studienprogramm für Nachwuchskünstler*innen namens „WHW Akademija“ mit Sitz in Zagreb. Von 2019 bis 2024 übernahm Nataša Ilić zusammen mit Ivet Ćurlin und Sabina Sabolović die künstlerische Leitung der Kunsthalle Wien.
Nataša Ilić, together with Ivet Ćurlin and Sabina Sabolović, forms the artistic direction of Skulptur Projekte 2027 in Münster. In 1999, Ilić was a founding member of the international curatorial collective ‘What, How & for Whom’ (WHW), based in Berlin and Zagreb, which also includes Ivet Ćurlin and Sabina Sabolović.
WHW organises production, exhibition and publication projects. The three questions What? How? And For whom? – fundamental to any economic organisation – concern the planning, conception and realisation of exhibitions, as well as the production and distribution of artworks and the position of artists in the labour market. From 2003 to 2023, the WHW collective directed the programme of Galerie Nova, a municipal gallery in Zagreb. In 2018, WHW launched a new international study programme for young artists called ‘WHW Akademija,’ based in Zagreb. From 2019 to 2024, Nataša Ilić, together with Ivet Ćurlin and Sabina Sabolović, took over the artistic direction of the Kunsthalle Wien.
