Two Birds and a Stone is Klaus Weber's first solo exhibition at CCA Andratx. It features both works he created in situ during his artist residency in September 2025 and earlier works, spanning more than a decade of artistic creation.
In his practice, Weber frequently employs double meanings, humor, mischief, and bisociation, a concept developed by Arthur Koestler that refers to the connection between previously unrelated ideas to generate original thoughts.
Klaus Weber (1967, Sigmaringen, DE) is one of the most acclaimed conceptual artists worldwide, having exhibited at several of the world's most important institutions and museums, such as the KW Institute for Contemporary Art (Berlin, DE), MOCA (Los Angeles, USA), Mori Art Museum (Minato, JP), Frieze Projects (London, GB), Gropius Bau (Berlin, DE), Institute of Contemporary Arts (London, GB), Kunsthalle Wien (Vienna, AT), among others.
Two Birds and a Stone es la primera exposición individual de Klaus Weber en el CCA Andratx. En ella, el artista presenta tanto obras que fueron creadas in situ durante su residencia artística en septiembre de 2025 como trabajos anteriores, abarcando más de una década de creación artística.
En su práctica, Weber recurre con frecuencia a los dobles sentidos, al humor, a la picardía y a la bisociación, concepto desarrollado por Arthur Koestler y que alude a la conexión entre ideas previamente no relacionadas para generar pensamientos originales.
