"Mine of You with Me", the upcoming solo exhibition by Maarten Van Roy (1985, Bonheiden) at Avee Gallery, revolves around a new series of unique lost wax bronze sculptures. Throughout a number of thermodynamic transformations, material becomes the fundamental determinant of form and color. From the gentle encounter between artist and material spring objects of intimate publicness and tender appeal. From mind, body and soul loose, yet durable garments are woven, bright like stars, ablaze.
Open on Sundays from 2 till 6pm and by appointment
